Job summary

PT Talenta Eksekutif Asia is seeking a Head of Mining Operations to lead all underground mining activities in a remote FIFO PNG environment. The role drives development, production planning, contractor management, and safety performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

You will lead senior engineers and mine personnel, collaborate with technical services and management, and deliver safe, efficient, and commercially successful production across the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years underground mining experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• CoC certification or immediate eligibility to obtain one.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong leadership and safety management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for underground mining operations including development, production, ground support, ventilation, and mine services.
• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans aligned with targets and business objectives.
• Ensure full compliance with mining legislation and Mine Safety Management System.
• Manage budgets, costs, CAPEX planning, and cost optimization.
• Oversee contractor performance and enforce safety and productivity standards.
• Mentor and develop senior mining staff and build leadership succession.
• Monitor production performance and drive continuous improvement in productivity and reliability.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to achieve site performance targets.
