Job summary

The Team Lead in R&D is responsible for guiding the development team to design, build, and deliver innovative software solutions that meet customer and business needs.

You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Global R&D to ensure successful product releases while upholding high standards of quality, performance, and scalability. The role requires a strong technical background and a commitment to continuous improvement and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of software development in a team.
• Strong OO principles and design patterns knowledge.
• Experience with Java or .Net development.
• UI/UX development with React.js, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, Redux Toolkit.
• Web services—SOAP/REST; cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift; CI/CD tooling (Harness/Jenkins).
• Experience with Grafana, Datadog or OpsGenie for monitoring.
• RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL; testing and automation knowledge.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agentic AI SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to design, development, testing, and release of software features.
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, automation testing, and improvements.
• Facilitate technical discussions, design workshops, estimates, and reviews.
• Ensure scalable, secure, reliable solutions aligned with architecture standards.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Global R&D, and stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Mentor and coach team members; provide technical guidance and career development.
• Conduct performance reviews and regular one-on-one discussions with reports.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, high-performing team culture.
• Support customer-centric product development by understanding user needs.
