Job summary

The Team Lead in R&D is responsible for guiding the development team to design, build, and deliver innovative software solutions that meet customer and business needs.

You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Global R&D to ensure successful product releases while upholding high standards of quality, performance, and scalability. The role requires a strong technical background and a commitment to continuous improvement and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of software development in a team.
• Strong OO principles and design patterns knowledge.
• Experience with Java or .Net development.
• UI/UX development with React.js, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, Redux Toolkit.
• Web services—SOAP/REST; cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift; CI/CD tooling (Harness/Jenkins).
• Experience with Grafana, Datadog or OpsGenie for monitoring.
• RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL; testing and automation knowledge.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agentic AI SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate technical discussions, design workshops, estimates, and reviews.

The role partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Global R&D teams to ensure successful product releases while maintaining high standards of quality, performance, and scalability.

This position requires a strong technical background, the ability to mentor and develop team members, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in engineering practices, customer experience, and delivery outcomes. The Team Lead will also be responsible for team performance management, stakeholder communication, and issue escalation when required.

• Lead and contribute to the design, development, testing, and release of software features and enhancements.

• Facilitate technical discussions, design workshops, estimation activities, and solution reviews.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with product architecture standards.

• Minimum 6 year experience of software development within a team using Java or .Net
• Advanced knowledge and experience of object oriented principles and design patterns
• Advanced knowledge and experience of working with Java
• Experience of UI/UX development with React.js, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, State Management (e.g. Redux Toolkit /Zustand/ Recoil)
• Experience of web services e.g. SOAP, REST
• Experience with cloud platform, preferably AWS
• Experience of Cloud tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, OKD / OpenShift and CI/CD tools such as Harness and/or Jenkins
• Experience of Monitoring Tools such as Grafana, Datadog and/or OpsGenie.
• Knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL
• Knowledge of unit testing and automation testing
• Knowledge of cloud deployment
• Experience of performance testing and tuning
• Experience of object oriented principles and design patterns
