Job summary

NTT DATA is looking for an Applications Managed Services Engineer (L1) to support client applications, including ERP and Middleware technologies. You will resolve incidents on the first line, respond to service requests, and ensure SLAs are met.

You will also patch systems, implement configuration changes, document knowledge, and explore automation opportunities, with occasional project work and disaster recovery testing.

Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in managing Windows Server Administration, Linux Server Administration, Virtualization Administration, Server Hardware and Storage Administration.
• Basic knowledge of ERP, Windows, Linux, SQL, Oracle Middleware, and Webserver.
• Strong planning skills with adaptability to changing circumstances.
• Client-focused mindset and ability to prioritize client needs.
• Ability to communicate across cultures and social groups.
• Active listening skills including paraphrasing and probing for information.
• Positive outlook even under pressure or longer hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage client applications and respond to service requests.
• Resolve low-complexity incidents as first line of support; escalate when needed.
• Perform approved maintenance such as patching and configuration changes.
• Create and update knowledge articles to streamline processes.
• Explore opportunities for automation and process improvements.
• Contribute to project work and disaster recovery testing.
