PT EFL GLOBAL INDONESIA in Semarang, Central Java, is seeking a Junior Executive – Documentation Ocean Export to join our logistics team. You will manage ocean export documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with shipping lines, brokers, and customs authorities to support on-time shipments.

The role emphasizes meticulous data entry, record-keeping, and proactive problem-solving within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.

Qualifications

• Qualification in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of ocean freight operations and export procedures.
• Understanding of customs regulations, import/export compliance, and international shipping documentation.
• Excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills, with ability to manage multiple shipments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with logistics management software is an advantage.
• Strong English communication; Mandarin or other Asian languages are advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and processing ocean export documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
• Liaising with shipping lines, customs brokers, and international partners to ensure accurate and timely documentation
• Verifying shipping documents for compliance with international standards and customer requirements
• Managing export declarations and coordinating with customs authorities for clearance procedures
• Tracking shipments and maintaining accurate records of export transactions
• Supporting the coordination of cargo consolidation and container operations
• Responding to client queries regarding shipment status and documentation requirements
• Assisting in data entry and maintaining organised filing systems for export records
• Collaborating with internal teams to resolve documentation discrepancies and delays
• Staying updated on changes in customs regulations and international shipping requirements

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Executive – Documentation Ocean Export to join our team at PT EFL GLOBAL INDONESIA. This is a full-time position based in Semarang, Central Java. As a Junior Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting our ocean export operations by managing documentation and ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations. This position is essential to maintaining the smooth flow of our logistics and freight forwarding operations, contributing directly to our clients' success in global trade.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing and processing ocean export documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin

What we’re looking for

• Excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with logistics management software (an advantage)
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); additional languages such as Mandarin or other Asian languages are advantageous
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
• Previous experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, or related logistics roles is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
