Job summary

PT Baramutiara Prima (BMP), part of the Gunung Sewu Group, seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee coal loading and unloading at the jetty in South Sumatra. You will monitor barge movements, coordinate with shipping agents and barge owners, and perform draught survey calculations to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Marine, Port & Shipping Management, at least 3 years in the coal mining sector, and STS operations familiarity.

Job description

Responsible for supervising coal loading and unloading operations at the jetty, conducting draught survey calculations, monitoring barge movements, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations, and supporting jetty and stockpile management including transshipment operations at Teluk Kemang and TEI Rimau.

Key responsibilities

Supervise coal loading and unloading activities at the jetty according to company targets

Monitor barge movement and coordinate loading activities with shipping agents, barge owners, masters of Tug Boats, and the marketing team

Conduct draught survey calculations

Ensure all activities at the jetty comply with company regulations and standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly barge reports

Support transshipment/ship-to-ship (STS) transfer activities at Teluk Kemang and TEI Rimau

Requirements :

Minimum Bachelor Degree in Marine, Port & Shipping Management

Minimum 3 years experience in coal mining industry

Experience in handling coal loading and unloading operations

Understand calculation of Barge draught survey

Experience with Ship to Ship (STS) operations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

Willing to be placed in Musi Banyuasin

The mining area can be accessed by road from Palembang via the Sumatra eastern highway (around 130 km) or through the river from the Bangka Strait through the Dawas-Calik river (about 120 km)
