Daimyo Bali seeks a dedicated Janitor / Public Area staff member for a contract position in Seminyak. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of all public spaces for guests and staff.

Ideal candidates have experience in hospitality cleaning, strong attention to detail and reliable, punctual work habits. English communication is required, with additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean windows/glass and perform periodic deep cleaning (carpet, floors).
• Report maintenance issues promptly; follow health and safety protocols.

About the role

Daimyo Bali is seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor / Public Area professional to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Seminyak, Bali, this role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene and overall appearance of our public spaces. You will play a vital part in creating a welcoming and sanitised environment for our guests and staff, ensuring that all communal areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and vacuum all public areas including lobbies, corridors, staircases and common spaces on a regular basis
• Clean and sanitise restrooms, ensuring toilets, sinks and floors are maintained to the highest hygiene standards
• Empty rubbish bins and replace bin liners throughout the facility
• Dust surfaces, furniture and fixtures in public areas to maintain a professional appearance
• Clean windows, mirrors and glass surfaces to ensure they remain streak-free and clear
• Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as required, including carpet cleaning and floor polishing
• Report any maintenance issues or damage to supervisors promptly
• Follow all health and safety protocols and use cleaning equipment and chemicals responsibly
• Maintain cleanliness standards consistently throughout shifts and during peak and off-peak hours
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless coverage of all public areas

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience working as a janitor or in public area cleaning, preferably within a hospitality or commercial environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and lift cleaning equipment and supplies
• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work varied shifts as required
• Knowledge of appropriate cleaning techniques, products and equipment
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in cleaning
• Positive attitude and professional demeanour when interacting with guests and colleagues
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages are advantageous
