Job summary

Daimyo Bali, in Seminyak, is seeking a Bar Back to support the bar team for a contract-based role. The Bar Back will restock, prep garnishes, maintain the back bar, assist bartenders, handle glassware care, and ensure health and safety standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in a bar or hospitality setting is preferred, with a focus on accuracy, teamwork, and reliability to keep service smooth and guests satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Restocking and organising bar supplies, spirits, mixers, glassware and ice throughout your shift
• Preparing fresh garnishes, including fruit cuts, herbs and other ingredients as required
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the back bar area, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and accessible
• Assisting bartenders with drink preparation during service, including pouring and mixing when needed
• Washing, drying and polishing glassware to maintain quality standards
• Monitoring stock levels and alerting management when supplies need to be replenished
• Receiving and storing deliveries in the appropriate locations
• Supporting the overall operation of the bar whilst maintaining a professional and friendly demeanour
• Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene standards

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Bar Back to join the dynamic team at Daimyo x Chakana in Seminyak. This is a contract position that plays a vital supporting role in ensuring our bar operates smoothly and efficiently. As Bar Back, you will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of service that our guests expect, working behind the scenes to keep our bartenders equipped and our bar running seamlessly. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional experience across our venue.

What you'll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:

Restocking and organising bar supplies, spirits, mixers, glassware and ice throughout your shift

What we're looking for
To excel in this role, you should possess:

Previous experience working in a bar or hospitality environment, ideally in a similar bar back or bartender assistant capacity

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Physical capability to lift and carry supplies regularly throughout your shift

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service

Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing demands

Knowledge of bar operations and beverage service standards is advantageous

Familiarity with Bali's hospitality scene or previous experience working in the region is preferred
