Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics in Jakarta is seeking a Business Development Manager, Commercial, to establish and develop new business opportunities with potential customers in the assigned territory. You will manage the sales process, support CRM updates, and coordinate with the overseas network to convert leads into revenue.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in any major.
• Minimum 2 years as a Sales Hunter in Freight Forwarding or relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge in Logistics & Freight Forwarding, specifically in Commercial.
• Expertise and professionalism in customer contacts, understanding of customer requirements, analysis and resolution of problems and complaints.
• Local market knowledge, vertical market update (Customers, Product).
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, flexible and able to prioritize work under tight deadlines.
• English (Fluent in verbal and written).
• High competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop new business opportunities with potential Customers in assigned territory and with assigned / named targets.
• Execute sales process as per rollout/training: pipeline management and CRM maintenance; provide client and target information, sales calls/visits, opportunity tracking.
• Achieve monthly opportunities target as per agreed.
• Work out volume projection and long/short term action plan to achieve targets.
• Support and consult overseas network on related prospects (sales leads).
