Job summary

Dala is seeking a senior business development professional to establish and grow our presence in Jakarta. You will build relationships with current and prospective clients, monitor funding opportunities, and lead end-to-end proposal development to secure partnerships and grants.

Responsibilities include maintaining donor registrations, coordinating proposal teams, and representing Dala at sector events. A Master’s degree with 10+ years in BD and strong English/Indonesian writing is essential.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in business development.
• Demonstrated familiarity with the development, climate, and environment sectors in Indonesia.
• Established networks with funders, clients, NGOs, researchers, and policy-makers in Jakarta.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Dala’s opportunity development strategy.
• Systematically monitor calls for proposals and grant opportunities across development sectors.
• Maintain registration and eligibility in key procurement systems and stay compliant.
• Provide pipeline reporting and visibility for planning and decisions.
• Maintain and expand client relationships and convert repeat clients.
• Represent Dala at sector events and networks in Jakarta and beyond.
• Build strategic partnerships with allied organisations and consultants.
• Lead go/no-go assessments and coordinate teams for proposals.
• Contribute to writing proposals and translate staff ideas into proposals.
