Job summary

PT. Star Wagen Indonesia is seeking an IT Section Head to lead the Jakarta IT team on a full-time basis. You will oversee IT service requests, coordinate the IT team, and ensure IT operations and projects meet SLA priorities and timelines.

This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, with experience in IT service management, SOP development, and documentation. You will collaborate with management and other departments to support operations.

Responsibilities

• Screen and manage incoming IT service requests before assignment to Helpdesk.
• Monitor team response and report completion timelines to ensure SLA compliance.
• Track progress against timeframes and follow up with team members.
• Set priorities across operational activities and project/module implementations.
• Delegate tasks based on priorities and workload requirements.
• Communicate management policies to the IT team and coordinate changes to SOPs.
• Gather IT service needs and feedback from other departments to improve services.
• Prepare work agendas, project timelines, and Minutes of Meeting for IT projects.
• Maintain organized IT team documentation and SOPs.

About the role

We are seeking an IT Section Head to join our team in Jakarta on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing IT service requests, coordinating team activities, and ensuring IT operations and projects are delivered according to established priorities and timelines. You will work closely with management, IT team members, and other departments to ensure IT services meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and support the company's operational needs.

This position requires a well-organized, analytical, and collaborative professional who can manage work priorities, coordinate IT team activities, communicate policies and instructions, and ensure IT documentation, SOPs, and work processes are properly implemented.

Key responsibilities

• Screen and manage incoming IT service requests before assigning them to the Helpdesk team.
• Monitor team response and report completion timelines to ensure compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Monitor actual work progress against established timeframes and follow up with team members when required.
• Manage work timelines and establish priorities across operational activities and project or module implementations.
• Delegate tasks to IT team members based on established priorities and workload requirements.
• Communicate management instructions and policies to the IT team and coordinate changes to policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Collect and address IT service needs and feedback from other departments to support effective IT services.
• Prepare work agendas, meeting agendas, project timelines, and Minutes of Meeting (MoM) related to IT projects.
• Maintain IT team documentation in an organized and systematic manner.
• Develop work instructions and SOPs as guidelines for the IT team and review their implementation to ensure alignment with actual work processes.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in IT operations, IT service management, IT project coordination, or related functions will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of IT service request management, SLA monitoring, work prioritization, and team coordination.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational activities and project timelines.
• Good understanding of SOP and Work Instruction development and implementation.
• Strong coordination and delegation skills to manage IT team activities according to priorities.
• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate management policies and coordinate requirements across departments.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to maintain project, meeting, and IT operational records systematically.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for monitoring, documentation, reporting, and project coordination.
