Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Jakarta is seeking an IT support professional to deliver first and second-level assistance, maintain endpoints, and support IT infrastructure.

The role reports to the IT Manager and collaborates with regional teams and external vendors to ensure business continuity. Required are a Diploma/degree in IT or related field, Windows and Microsoft 365 experience, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, CS, or related discipline.
• Microsoft certifications or equivalent qualifications.
• 3–5 years' experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure support.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.
• Experience managing user access and permissions.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with service desk or ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Providing first and second-level IT support to end users.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and end-user devices.
• Supporting networks, telecommunications, and IT infrastructure.
• Managing user accounts, access permissions, and security controls.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Maintaining IT asset registers and equipment inventories.
• Supporting cybersecurity and information security compliance requirements.
• Coordinating with regional IT teams and third-party vendors.
• Assisting with system upgrades, technology projects, and implementations.
• Supporting backup, recovery, and business continuity activities.
