Job summary

AWERA RESORT is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support HR operations on a contract basis at the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra. You will handle employee records, onboarding, payroll administration, and policy compliance while contributing to a positive workplace culture in a unique island setting.

The role requires strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and English communication. Hospitality experience is advantageous, and a willingness to work remotely on a remote island is

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a HR coordinator/administrator role.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee records and HR documents.
• Coordinate recruitment activities and candidate communications.
• Assist onboarding and induction programs.
• Administer payroll, leave, and benefits.
• Schedule HR meetings and staff events.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain HR databases.
• Support HR policies and compliance.
• Respond to employee HR inquiries.
• Assist with performance management processes.
• Support health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives.
