Job summary

AYANA Komodo in Labuan Bajo seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Human Resources to partner with the General Manager in shaping HR strategy and overseeing a broad HR remit across recruitment, employee relations, and compensation.

You will lead HR policy design, performance management, training and development, and ensure compliance with labor laws while managing a 250+ colleague workforce in a luxury hotel setting. Proactive, strategic leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in leadership in a 4- or 5-star hotel or resort.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures.
• Proven experience developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to relocate to Labuan Bajo, Flores.

Assistant Director of Human Resources | AYANA Komodo

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Human Resources to join one of our properties in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.

In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the organization’s overall goals and objectives. You will oversee a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment and selection, employee and industrial relations, performance management, training and development, and compensation and benefits.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, proven leadership capabilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strategic mindset, with the ability to balance business objectives with employee needs.

• Design, implement, and manage HR policies, programs, and initiatives that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, while effectively managing employee relations and employee benefits programs.

• Experience managing a workforce of 250+ colleagues.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS systems.
• Proven experience in handling audits and developing SOPs.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to relocate to and live in Labuan Bajo, Flores.
