Job summary

MyShrine Studios Bali is seeking an Interior Estimator/Interior Quantity Surveyor to estimate costs for interior items across projects and prepare BOQs. You will collaborate with suppliers, perform quantity take-offs, and ensure accurate pricing and documentation for turnkey interior work in Bali.

The role requires a relevant degree, strong numerical skills, and proficiency in Excel and take-off tools, with a focus on interior finishes and cost benchmarks. An eye for value engineering is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in interior design, fit-out, or construction projects.
• Proficient in quantity take-off tools and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with interior construction standards and cost benchmarks.

My Shrine Studios Bali is on the lookout for a meticulous and organized Interior Estimator/Interior Quantity Surveyor to join our innovative team. If you have a knack for cost estimation and quantity surveying across all interior items, including kitchens, appliances, tables, beds, and beyond, we want you on our team.

Role and Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

• Accurately estimate costs for diverse interior items, including kitchens, appliances, tables, beds, and more.
• Analyse project documents to determine precise quantities and cost factors for each category.

Quantity Take-off:

• Perform meticulous quantity take-offs from project specifications.
• Calculate quantities for every project element, ensuring precision across all interior items.

Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination:

• Collaborate with specialized suppliers and subcontractors for all interior categories.
• Secure precise pricing for materials and services, maintaining quality and timely delivery.

Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Preparation:

• Develop comprehensive BOQs, incorporating quantities, specifications, unit prices, and total costs for all interior items.
• Ensure alignment with project details.

Cost Analysis and Value Engineering:

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering strategies for various interior items.
• Collaborate with the project team to achieve quality within budget boundaries.

Project Documentation:

• Maintain well-organized project documentation for all interior categories.
• Keep cost estimates, BOQs, and related information updated and accessible.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to synchronize BOQs with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and estimation techniques for all interior items.
• Contribute to process enhancement and elevate estimation accuracy.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Additional certifications in cost estimation or project management are an advantage.

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in interior design, fit-out, or construction projects, with experience handling various interior elements.

Strong understanding of construction materials, interior finishes, specifications, and cost estimation.

Proficient in quantity take-off tools and Microsoft Excel.

Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and cost benchmarks for interior and construction projects.

Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and focused approach for all interior items.
