Job summary

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience: 4–6 years in interior design, ideally in property development or hospitality.
• Technical: Proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Photoshop, and Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop concept design, space planning, mood boards, and material selections.
• Prepare and present design proposals reflecting project requirements and aesthetics.
• Ensure design consistency with brand identity and project vision.
• Collaborate with architects and MEP engineers to integrate solutions.
• Produce detailed layout plans, elevations, sections, and detailing drawings.
• Prepare FF&E specifications, finishes schedules, and material boards.
• Coordinate with drafters for technical docs and shop drawings.
• Review shop drawings and samples from contractors or suppliers.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants during design and construction.
• Conduct site visits to ensure implementation aligns with drawings.
• Address design-related issues with on-site solutions.
• Support procurement by evaluating materials and prototypes.
• Prepare and review cost estimates for interior works and FF&E.
• Ensure material sourcing meets aesthetic, functional, and maintenance needs.
• Conduct final inspections and prepare handover manuals.

The position involves close collaboration with project, procurement, and construction teams to translate design concepts into practical implementation on-site.

The position involves close collaboration with project, procurement, and construction teams to translate design concepts into practical implementation on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development

1. Develop concept design, space planning, mood boards, and material selections for interior projects.

2. Prepare and present design proposals that reflect project requirements, functionality, and aesthetics.

3. Ensure design consistency and adherence to brand identity and project vision.

4. Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to integrate design solutions.

Technical Drawings & Documentation

1. Produce detailed layout plans, elevations, sections, and interior detailing drawings.

2. Prepare FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) specifications, finishes schedules, and material boards.

3. Coordinate with drafters for technical documentation and shop drawings.

4. Review and approve shop drawings and material samples from contractors or suppliers.

Project Coordination & Site Supervision

1. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants during the design and construction phases.

2. Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation aligns with approved drawings and specifications.

3. Address design-related issues and provide solutions for on-site adjustments.

4. Support procurement by evaluating materials, samples, and custom furniture prototypes.

Budgeting & Procurement Support

1. Prepare and review cost estimates for interior works and FF&E packages.

2. Liaise with procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency and quality in material sourcing.

3. Ensure selected materials meet aesthetic, functional, and maintenance requirements.

Quality Control & Handover

1. Conduct final inspections of interior finishes and furniture installations.

2. Prepare punch lists and ensure corrective works are completed before handover.

3. Support preparation of as-built documentation and handover manuals.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

Experience:

1. Minimum 4–6 years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in property development, hospitality, or resort projects.

2. Proven experience in both concept design and site implementation.

3. Familiarity with luxury villa, hotel, or residential design projects is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

1. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.

2. Strong understanding of materials, finishes, color theory, and lighting principles.

3. Knowledge of FF&E design, detailing, and documentation.

4. Familiarity with construction methods, fit-out standards, and local building codes (SNI).
