Job summary

PT Growth Asia, Rubber Division invites an IoT Engineer to join in Medan, offering a full-time role bridging engineering and digital transformation. You will design, develop, and implement IoT solutions to boost efficiency, product quality, and data-driven decision making across the rubber division.

You will lead firmware development, sensor integration, and edge data strategies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy robust IoT systems in harsh industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Experience with sensor interfaces, circuit design (schematics & PCB layout), and industrial integration.
• Embedded C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and Python for data processing/visualization.
• Familiarity with Modbus/OPC UA and cloud IoT platforms (AWS/Azure/Google).
• Proven expertise in designing and troubleshooting industrial wireless networks (LPWAN).
• Energy harvesting knowledge and experience with predictive maintenance concepts.
• Certifications in IoT or cloud technologies are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize firmware / embedded software for microcontrollers and microprocessors used in IoT sensors.
• Lead the research, design, and implementation of the IoT system solutions, mainly energy harvesting and data transmission systems.
• Design and implement reliable, low-power wireless communication protocols (LoRa, Zigbee, proprietary RF) for transmitting data.
• Conduct rigorous bench testing, field trials, and validation of hardware and software prototypes to ensure industrial reliability.
• Configure and manage IoT gateways and edge computing devices to securely collect data from IoT sensors.
• Contribute to the broader digital transformation strategy by identifying and evaluating new IoT opportunities across company.
