Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Import & Customs Operations Staff to support its logistics and import operations in Jakarta. The role requires hands-on experience in freight forwarding and a solid understanding of Indonesian import-export regulations and customs procedures.

The candidate will coordinate with PPJK, warehouses, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely clearance and compliant documentation. Strong English skills and a detail-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in any discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, import-export, or customs-related environment.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian import-export regulations and customs procedures.
• Experience reviewing PIB and other customs documents.
• Familiar with coordinating with PPJK, freight forwarders, warehouses, and customs authorities.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Based in Jakarta with commuting time to the office within an hour.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify import documentation, including PIB and supporting customs documents.
• Coordinate with PPJK, freight forwarders, and customs-related parties to ensure efficient clearance.
• Monitor shipments and ensure compliance with Indonesian customs regulations.
• Liaise with warehouses regarding goods receiving, inventory coordination, and deliveries to customers.
• Ensure all import/export documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
• Follow up on shipment status and resolve operational issues related to logistics and customs clearance.
• Communicate with internal departments and external service providers to support supply chain activities.
• Maintain proper records and reports related to import, export, and customs operations.
