Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Import & Customs Operations Staff in Jakarta to support our logistics and compliance. The role involves reviewing PIB, coordinating with PPJK and freight forwarders, monitoring shipments, and ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory adherence.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in freight forwarding or logistics, strong English, and proven coordination and problem-solving skills to support end-to-end customs operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in freight forwarding, logistics, import-export, or customs.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian import-export regulations and customs procedures.
• Experience reviewing PIB and other customs documents.
• Coordination with PPJK, freight forwarders, warehouses, and customs authorities.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
• Administrative, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new processes.
• Based in Jakarta with ≤1 hour commute.
• Pleasant, easy-going, and able to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Hardworking, responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify import documentation, including PIB and supporting customs documents.
• Coordinate with PPJK, freight forwarders, and customs-related parties to ensure efficient clearance.
• Monitor import/export shipments and ensure compliance with Indonesian regulations.
• Liaise with warehouses for goods receiving, inventory coordination, and customer deliveries.
• Ensure all import/export documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
• Follow up on shipment status and resolve operational issues related to logistics and clearance.
• Communicate with internal departments and external service providers to support supply chain activities.
• Maintain proper records and reports related to import, export, and customs operations.
