Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in HSE roles in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
• Ability to analyze risks and propose improvements.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and OSHA.
• Capability to interpret local safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Advise HSE Dept. Manager on improvements to technology, products, infrastructure and applicable rules.
• Monitor safety and environment day and night.
• Conduct internal audits, safety visits, patrols, talks, and inspections of OHS facilities.
• Analyze audits and inspections and propose corrective actions.
• Provide OHS training for all staff, including new hires and transfers.
• Prepare work instructions to ensure safe, proper processes.
• Foster communication across levels to enhance HSE understanding.
• Collaborate with departments to identify hazards and improve risk controls.
• Help incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure NCR/audit corrective actions are implemented and closed.

Job description

To ensure effective implementation of HSE Management system to achieve incident free organization.

Key responsibilities

Give suggestions and advice to HSE Dept. Manager about improvement technology, product, infrastructure, and applicable rule and HSE regulation.

Monitor Safety and Environment Day or Night

Conduct internal audit, safety visit, safety patrol, safety talk, inspection of OHS facilities and work environment.

Analyze and propose further corrective action from the results of internal audit, safety visit, safety patrol, safety talk, inspection of OHS facilities and work environment.

Give OHS training for all employees according to type and work location both new employee and transfer from other location/ work process.

Make work instruction or working procedure to ensure the work process is conducted properly and safely.

Build communication with all levels of employees in each area for better understanding and discipline with HSE aspects.

Together with relevant department in identify sources/ hazard potential, assess, analyze, and improve risk control to reduce incident risk to the tolerable level.

Help work incident investigation that occur in workplace, making the report and ensure preventive and corrective action are implemented properly.

Ensure corrective action as the results of NCR finding or audit both internal and external are implemented and closed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline

Minimum 3 years in HSE roles within manufacturing or heavy industry, preferably in steel production or metal processing

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong organizational and documentation abilities

Ability to analyze risks and recommend actionable improvements

Conflict resolution and negotiation skills in safety enforcement

Initiative-driven, with a high level of accountability

Proficiency in HSE reporting tools and audit systems

Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and OSHA standards

Capability to interpret and apply local safety and environmental regulations
