Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required with 2 years experience in HR, management operations, or related professional area.
• A 2-year degree in HR, Business Administration, or related major is also acceptable with no work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in interviewing and hiring HR staff as needed.
• Maintains contact with external recruitment sources.
• Attends job fairs and documents outreach per SOP.
• Networks with local organizations to source candidates for current or future openings.
• Assists in monitoring candidate identification and selection process.
• Performs quality control on candidate identification/selection.
• Assists with unemployment claim activity and related reports.
• Attends unemployment hearings and ensures representation when needed.
• Assists with departmental orientation and employee training programs to enable effective onboarding.
• Ensures employees are cross-trained to support daily operations.
• Assists with ensuring proper new-hire orientation processes and positive first impressions for employees.
• Maintains effective employee communication channels and regular property-wide meetings.
• Reviews discipline documentation for accuracy and supports appropriate actions.
• Works with management to communicate performance expectations per job descriptions.
• Assists with maintaining employee files and compliance with privacy and safety policies.
• Supports workers' compensation claims management to control costs.

Education
