Responsibilities

• Guest Room Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel cleaning procedures and brand standards.
• Make beds, change bed linens, and replace towels and guest amenities.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, furniture, floors, and other room surfaces.
• Replenish guest supplies and amenities according to hotel standards.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and lost and found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Ensure guest rooms are properly arranged and ready for guest occupancy.
• Public Area and Housekeeping Support: Assist with cleaning corridors, service areas, pantries, and other assigned areas as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping equipment, trolleys, and supplies.

Job Description

The Housekeeping Attendant (Daily Worker) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms and assigned areas in accordance with hotel standards and procedures. The role ensures a comfortable, safe, and pleasant environment for guests while supporting the Housekeeping team in delivering excellent service and maintaining brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Room Cleaning and Maintenance
• Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel cleaning procedures and brand standards.
• Make beds, change bed linens, and replace towels and guest amenities.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, furniture, floors, and other room surfaces.
• Replenish guest supplies and amenities according to hotel standards.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and lost and found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Ensure guest rooms are properly arranged and ready for guest occupancy.
• Public Area and Housekeeping Support
• Assist with cleaning corridors, service areas, pantries, and other assigned areas as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping equipment, trolleys, and supplies.
• Ensure cleaning tools and chemicals are used and stored safely.
• Assist with deep cleaning and special cleaning projects when assigned.
• Guest Service
• Respond to guest requests politely, promptly, and professionally.
• Respect guest privacy and follow hotel procedures before entering occupied rooms.
• Report guest complaints, special requests, and concerns to the Supervisor.
• Maintain a friendly and professional attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Safety, Hygiene, and Security
• Follow hotel safety, hygiene, and security procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Report accidents, hazards, suspicious activities, and damaged property immediately.
• Follow lost and found procedures and protect guest belongings and hotel property.
• Comply with hotel grooming standards, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Teamwork and Other Duties
• Support the Housekeeping team in achieving daily operational targets.
• Coordinate with Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, and Supervisors as required.
• Attend briefings and training sessions when scheduled.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Senior High School or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel operations is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.
• Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties throughout the shift.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined, honest, and responsible.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to the hotel schedule.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
