Job summary

AYANA Hospitality seeks an Assistant Director of Engineering to support the Director in leading hotel engineering operations, ensuring facilities and assets are safe, compliant, and efficient. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, energy efficiency and strong team performance.

The incumbent will lead in MEP systems, building services, and project management, while ensuring guest satisfaction and regulatory compliance across all shifts and emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–12 years in hotel engineering, building services or facilities operations.
• Experience in four- or five-star hotel environment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, plant operations, preventive maintenance and projects.
• Ability to manage emergencies, budgets, contractors and reporting.
• Familiar with local regulations, codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Engineering in leading and controlling operations.
• Oversee maintenance of hotel facilities and assets to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Drive preventive maintenance, energy efficiency and cost control.
• Lead projects, manage vendors and monitor departmental KPIs.
