Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in hotel engineering or facilities management.
• At least 3 years in a senior engineering leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
• Experience in budgeting, project management, and contractor management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the engineering team, recruiting and developing staff to maintain a highly skilled and motivated team.
• Oversee maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Manage the department budget, including costs related to maintenance and energy consumption.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all hotel facilities and systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for capital projects and major repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest areas and back-of-house operations are in top condition.
• Develop energy conservation and sustainability initiatives aligning with hotel policies.
