Job summary

PT Summarecon Agung Tbk. seeks a Head of Purchasing for Summareccon Mall Makassar to lead sourcing, vendor management, and policy development. The role oversees end-to-end procurement activities, cost control, and team leadership to ensure timely, compliant purchasing aligned with budget and standards.

The candidate will drive supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure goods and services meet quality standards for the mall project, reporting to the Purchasing Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, SCM, or related field.
• ≥5 years in Purchasing/Procurement/SCM, with supervisory/managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, vendor management, contracts, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to meet goods/services requirements.
• Supervise sourcing, vendor selection, quotations, negotiation, procurement, and receipt of goods/services.
• Manage and evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality, price competitiveness, and timely procurement.
• Oversee cost control, pricing analyses, and adherence to budget and policies.
• Lead, develop, and coach the purchasing team and ensure compliance with procedures.

HEAD OF PURCHASING (SUMMARECON MALL MAKASSAR)

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain, with experience in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, purchasing strategies, contract management, and cost control.
• Able to conduct vendor selection, negotiations, price comparisons, and ensure the availability of goods and services according to the company’s requirements, quality standards, and budget.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage a team and build relationships with vendors and relevant stakeholders.

Job Description:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to ensure the company’s goods and service requirements are fulfilled effectively and efficiently.
• Supervise the entire purchasing process, from sourcing, vendor selection, and quotation to negotiation, procurement, and receipt of goods or services.
• Manage and evaluate vendor performance and build strong working relationships to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely procurement.
• Supervise cost control, conduct price and purchasing needs analysis, and ensure purchasing processes comply with the company’s budget and policies.
• Lead and develop the purchasing team and ensure all procurement activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, targets, and standards.
