Job summary

PT Adi Jaya Montana in Indonesia seeks an experienced Head of Engineering Department to lead the Engineering, Maintenance & Utility teams, ensuring reliable manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.

You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, machine installations and engineering projects, while driving safety, KPIs, budgets, and performance across our plastic packaging facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of Engineering/Maintenance experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in plastic, flexible packaging, printing, converting, extrusion, laminating.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, PLC, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Engineering, Maintenance & Utility teams to ensure reliable manufacturing operations.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive & corrective maintenance programs to minimize machine downtime.
• Oversee machine installation, modification, commissioning, troubleshooting, and engineering improvement projects.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, budget, spare parts inventory, contractors, and maintenance costs.
• Lead root cause analysis, process improvements, and technical development while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

PT Adi Jaya Montana is a plastic flexible packaging company that provides innovative printing and packaging solutions for various industries.

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Head of Engineering Department to lead our Engineering Department and ensure the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing facilities and production equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing engineering activities, preventive and corrective maintenance, utilities, equipment improvement, and engineering projects to support safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage the Engineering, Maintenance & Utility teams to ensure reliable manufacturing operations.

Develop and implement preventive, predictive & corrective maintenance programs to minimize machine downtime.

Oversee machine installation, modification, commissioning, troubleshooting, and engineering improvement projects.

Monitor maintenance KPIs, budget, spare parts inventory, contractors, and maintenance costs.

Lead root cause analysis, process improvements, and technical development while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 8–10 years of Engineering/Maintenance experience, with 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Experience in plastic, flexible packaging, printing, converting, extrusion, laminating, or related manufacturing is preferred.

Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, PLC, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and maintenance practices.

Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, with CMMS knowledge as an advantage.
