Job summary

Ajaib is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the Crypto engineering org, overseeing multiple teams, driving reliability, scalability, and security of high-availability fintech platforms. You will partner with Product, Business, and executive leadership to deliver innovative digital asset products across Southeast Asia.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management, building high-performing teams, shaping architecture, and guiding modernization while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including large-scale distributed systems.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing managers and senior engineers.
• Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams in high-growth tech organizations.
• Experience in fintech, crypto, or regulated financial services environments (highly preferred).
• Fluent English communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale multiple engineering teams responsible for backend systems and platform services in the Crypto business.
• Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with company and business objectives.
• Drive architectural decisions to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Establish and promote best practices in reliability, observability, performance, security, and incident management.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Compliance, and Business leaders to set priorities and execute initiatives.
• Own engineering execution and delivery outcomes across the Crypto business.
• Support hiring efforts and resource allocation to meet business objectives.
