The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of professional culinary experience, proven leadership, strong food safety knowledge, cost control, and the ability to perform under pressure during peak service.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of professional culinary experience with 3–5 years in head chef roles.
• Proven ability to lead kitchen teams of varying sizes.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health regulations.
• Understanding of food costing, portion control and inventory management.
• Versatile in multiple cuisines and menu development.

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join The Bench Sports in North Kuta, Bali. This is a contract position that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead a dynamic culinary team in one of Asia's most vibrant hospitality destinations. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, maintaining exceptional culinary standards, and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining the culinary reputation of our establishment and directly contributes to our overall business success and guest satisfaction.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 7-10 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 3-5 years in a head chef or senior chef role
• Proven expertise in leading and motivating kitchen teams of varying sizes
• Extensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen health and safety regulations
• Strong understanding of food costing, portion control and kitchen inventory management
• Proficiency in multiple culinary techniques and diverse cuisines, with versatility in menu development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with front-of-house and management teams
• Creative flair with a passion for culinary innovation and presentation
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining composure during peak service times
