Job summary

Global Expat Recruiting's Bali client is a busy standalone restaurant delivering modern and traditional Indonesian cuisine in a casual setting. You will hold the #1 kitchen leadership role, reporting directly to the Director and guiding a skilled team.

You will drive menu development, enforce HACCP and food safety standards, manage food costs and stock, and ensure high standards of presentation and quality under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar leadership role in a free-standing restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian cuisine and menu development.
• Experience implementing SOPs and HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team and manage daily kitchen operations.
• Develop menus and oversee menu costing and portion control.
• Ensure HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards are met.
• Control food costs, stock levels and kitchen procurement.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and grooming.

Our client is a busy, free standing restaurant in Bali with a fast paced and dynamic operation.

The restaurant offers a mix of modern and traditional Indonesian cuisine in a casual dining setting.

This is the #1 leadership role within the kitchen operation, reporting directly to the Director.

Please note that this position is available for Indonesian Nationals only.

Profile

• Experience in a similar role within a free-standing restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian cuisine
• Experience in menu creation, menu development and SOP implementation
• Creative and passionate about food
• Good knowledge of food cost, stock control and kitchen equipment
• Good knowledge of HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Firm and able to manage and motivate an experienced team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Result oriented with strong attention to detail
• Excellent English, both spoken and written
• Computer literate
• High standard of food quality, presentation and grooming
• Energetic, hands on and highly motivated
