Job summary

Chickmont Foods Ltd. is seeking a Handyman for the Production Plant to perform carpentry, plumbing, painting and general maintenance across the facility. The role covers repairs to equipment, upkeep of tools and infrastructure, and assisting maintenance technicians.

Responsibilities include cleaning systems, inspections, basic masonry, and use of workshop tools to keep the plant safe and operational. Prior experience in facilities maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

Making repairs to dolleys
Sorting of tools
Upkeep of ladders
Sharpening of knives and scissors
Cleaning of insectocutors
Cleaning of drains/ grease traps
Inspection of wells
Assisting with tyre changes
Washing of trucks
Pressure washing of specific areas- ie cafp/pad
Basic repairs to roofing- flash band etc
Changing of door; hinge removal, lock change
Faucet and tap installations as well as repairs
Assist Maintenance Technicians in their duties
Basic masonry
Use and care of workshop tools
Change of plucker fingers
Basic lubrication- use of grease gun
Replacement of bathroom lights
Scaffolding erection
Upkeep of workshop
