Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building facilities, utilities and equipment.

Job description

The Engineering Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper operation of all building facilities, utilities, equipment, and technical systems at Codium Beach Restaurant. The position ensures that all engineering systems are safe, functional, efficient, and ready to support daily restaurant operations, including the kitchen, bar, dining area, outdoor beach area, office, storage, and other operational facilities.

Key responsibilities

Check and maintain electrical installations, lighting, switches, sockets, panels, and other electrical equipment

Troubleshoot electrical problems and carry out minor repairs

Inspect and maintain water supply systems, pipes, pumps, valves, sinks, toilets, and drainage

Respond quickly to water leaks, blocked drains, low water pressure, and other plumbing issues

Conduct regular inspection and basic maintenance of AC units and ventilation systems

Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, freezers, exhaust systems, dishwashers, pumps, and other equipment

Conduct regular preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule

Respond immediately to urgent maintenance issues affecting restaurant operations

Check and maintain generator/genset, water pumps, electrical panels, and other utility equipment

Regularly check emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and other safety-related equipment

About you

Minimum SMK/D3 in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration/AC, or related technical field

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Technician/Engineering Staff, preferably in restaurant, hotel, hospitality, F&B, or commercial buildings

Good understanding of electrical, plumbing, AC/refrigeration, mechanical systems, and general maintenance

Able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance

Able to troubleshoot technical problems independently

Able to use basic engineering tools safely

Understanding of workplace safety procedures

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Physically fit and willing to work in an outdoor/beachside environment

Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and respond to operational emergencies when required
