The Guest Society, owner of eleven hotels, restaurants and development projects across Bali, Gili Trawangan and Lombok, is seeking a Group Cost Controller to build and lead the group inventory, cost of sales standards and fixed assets control.
This newly created role reports to the COO, runs monthly control cycles, leads stock counts, and supports group purchasing while driving USALI and PSAK 216 compliance.
The Guest Society (PT Mirah Hospitality and Leisure) is the hospitality management company of Mirah Investment & Development. Our portfolio includes Secana, Kiara Ocean Place, Kiara Beachtown, Cocana Resort, Kuara, Kong, Hujan Locale and Honey & Smoke across Bali, Gili Trawangan and Lombok. We also have new hotel projects underway, including Amali, Kiara Beachfront and SOMOS.
This is a brand-new position and a rare chance to build a group control function rather than inherit one. You'll own inventory control, cost control and fixed-asset control across eleven operating hotels, resorts and restaurants, three development projects and our asset-holding companies. You'll be the independent eye across the whole group, and your monthly Inventory Control Pack goes straight to the COO.
Year one is a structured implementation program with a clear roadmap, a toolkit and a policy already designed. Your job is to make it work in real life, at real receiving bays, stores and bars.
Own the group item master, cost-of-sales standards and SOPs (English and Bahasa Indonesia) across all hotels and F&B outlets.
Run the monthly control cycle: consolidate data from every property, run analytical red-flag tests, and issue the Inventory Control Pack by the 10th of each month.
Lead stock takes, unannounced counts and annual fixed-asset verification, and reconcile asset registers to the general ledger.
Build the group spend analysis and price book, benchmark supplier prices, and support group purchasing tenders and contract compliance.
Spot-check receiving, store control, bar par stock and waste control on property visits.
Train and coach storekeepers, receiving clerks and property Cost Controllers.
Support pre-opening FF&E/OS&E registers for our new hotel projects.
A degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality Management, or a professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, Ak./CPA Indonesia).
7+ years in hotel or multi-outlet F&B finance, including 3+ years as a Cost Controller, Financial Controller, Internal Auditor or Group Cost Controller in a multi-property hotel group.
Hands-on experience with a hotel back-office system (Power Pro preferred; Opera Materials Control, Sun/Vision, Infor or similar also welcome), covering purchasing, receiving, inventory, recipe costing and fixed-asset modules.
Proven experience leading physical stock counts and asset tagging, and reconciling asset registers.
Working knowledge of USALI, PSAK 216 (fixed assets) and PPN (VAT) treatment.
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills: pivot tables, lookups, and data cleaning on large files.
Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and professional English.
Willingness to travel regularly to Lombok and Gili Trawangan, and to work early mornings or late evenings when counts require it.
High integrity and independence: you report what the data shows.
Internal audit or forensic background (CIA, CFE), pre-opening experience, restaurant stock control tools (AppSheet, Odoo, MarketMan), group purchasing and spend analysis, Accurate software, or Power BI.
A permanent, full-time position at our head office in Kerobokan, Bali.
A competitive salary [IDR range] plus a performance bonus.
Travel and accommodation covered on group business.
Direct exposure to senior leadership and real influence over how a growing hospitality group operates.
