Job summary

MIRAH HOSPITALITY AND LEISURE seeks an experienced Group Financial Controller to oversee financial integrity and reporting across its growing hotel and resort portfolio in Bali, Lombok, and Gili Trawangan.

You will lead consolidated planning, budgeting, and compliance, partner with GMs and senior leadership, and drive profitability through strong internal controls and strategic analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA preferred.
• 10–20 years of progressive finance/accounting experience in hotels or resorts.
• Strong hospitality finance knowledge and multi-property consolidation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across properties.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting with GM and department heads.
• Analyze performance, identify variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Establish internal control frameworks and safeguard assets.
• Oversee tax compliance, statutory reporting, and audits.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and capex planning.
• Lead finance systems (ERP, PMS interfaces) and generate board-level reports.
• Mentor Financial Controllers and liaise with owners and banks.

Job Description

The Guest Society is a growing hospitality group operating lifestyle hotels, resorts, and venues across Bali, Lombok, and Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. We are looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller to oversee financial integrity, reporting accuracy, and internal controls across our multi-property portfolio.

As Group Financial Controller, you will lead consolidated financial planning, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring robust accounting practices and cost discipline across all properties. You will partner closely with property General Managers, Group Finance, and Operations to safeguard assets, optimize profitability, and support sound commercial decision-making across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across all properties
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process with property General Managers and department heads
• Analyze financial performance, identifying variances, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio
• Establish and enforce internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and prevent fraud
• Oversee tax compliance, statutory reporting, and liaison with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure planning
• Manage finance and accounting systems (ERP, PMS interfaces, payroll systems)
• Prepare consolidated financial reports, dashboards, and board-level presentations
• Lead, mentor, and develop property-level Financial Controllers, Chief Accountants, and finance teams
• Liaise with ownership groups, banks, and external stakeholders on financing arrangements

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum 10–20 years of progressive finance/accounting experience within hotels or resorts, including multi-property or cluster-level roles
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with a focus on hospitality finance, USALI reporting, and multi-entity consolidation
• Deep understanding of internal controls, statutory compliance, and Indonesian tax regulations
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems, PMS financial interfaces, and advanced Excel or business intelligence tools
• Proven record of strengthening financial controls, improving profitability, and managing external audits
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence General Managers and senior stakeholders
• Experience in international hospitality environments preferred
