Job summary

PT.Pratama Abadi Industri is seeking a Mold Design Engineer focused on 2nd process tooling for footwear manufacturing. You will develop and optimize mold surfaces using CAD, define mold contours, and prepare precise 2D drawings to meet specifications and finishes.

You will review designs, analyze trial results, and implement revisions based on production feedback. Collaboration with production and engineering teams is essential to maintain quality and compliance across the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience in footwear manufacturing, especially second-process mold/tooling design.
Proficient in CAD for 3D modeling and 2D technical drawings.
Knowledge of mold construction, tolerances, materials, and surface finish.
Understanding of footwear upper geometry and 2nd process molding applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
Willing to be placed at Serpong, South Tangerang.
Able to support mold trials and design improvements.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize mold surfaces and geometries using CAD for footwear manufacturing.
Design mold structures and contours based on product specs and upper geometry.
Prepare complete 2D drawings with dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes.
Review mold designs, evaluate trials and revisions based on feedback.
Collaborate with production and engineering to troubleshoot mold issues and ensure quality.
