Job summary

PT.Pratama Abadi Industri is seeking a Mold Design Engineer focused on 2nd process tooling for footwear manufacturing. You will develop and optimize mold surfaces using CAD, define mold contours, and prepare precise 2D drawings to meet specifications and finishes.

You will review designs, analyze trial results, and implement revisions based on production feedback. Collaboration with production and engineering teams is essential to maintain quality and compliance across the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in footwear manufacturing, especially second-process mold/tooling design.
• Proficient in CAD for 3D modeling and 2D technical drawings.
• Knowledge of mold construction, tolerances, materials, and surface finish.
• Understanding of footwear upper geometry and 2nd process molding applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
• Willing to be placed at Serpong, South Tangerang.
• Able to support mold trials and design improvements.

• Prepare complete 2D technical engineering drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and surface finish requirements.

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot mold-related issues, improve mold performance, and ensure product quality and manufacturing process compliance.
