Job summary

SYNMEDIA is seeking a Finance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day financial operations, manage cash flow, and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while coordinating with banks, auditors, and external service providers.

The role requires a degree in finance or accounting, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets. English is preferred; Mandarin is a plus for our diverse team and growing business.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and responsible Finance Supervisor to oversee the company's day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate, timely, and well-organized financial management. You will be responsible for supervising financial administration, monitoring cash flow, managing financial reporting, supporting budgeting and planning, and ensuring that financial processes are properly implemented and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Financial Operations:
• Oversee the company's day-to-day financial transactions and ensure all financial activities are recorded accurately and properly documented.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, reimbursements, and other financial transactions.
• Review and verify financial documents, invoices, receipts, and payment requests.
• Ensure timely processing of payments and other financial obligations.
• Prepare and review regular financial reports, including income statements, cash flow reports, expense reports, and other management reports.
• Monitor financial performance and provide relevant insights to management.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, cost inefficiencies, and potential financial risks.
• Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
• Cash Flow & Budget Management:
• Monitor daily cash flow and ensure sufficient funds are available to support operational needs.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring company budgets and financial forecasts.
• Track actual spending against budgets and identify significant variances.
• Provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and financial control.
• Establish and maintain effective financial procedures and internal controls.
• Ensure financial transactions comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Monitor financial documentation and ensure proper filing and record-keeping.
• Coordinate with external parties, including banks, accountants, auditors, and other financial service providers when required.
• Finance Administration:
• Oversee financial administration and ensure all finance-related documentation is organized and up to date.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of company assets, expenses, payments, and financial obligations.
• Support payroll and other employee-related financial processes when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of finance processes.
• Team & Process Supervision:
• Supervise and coordinate finance-related tasks and ensure responsibilities are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Establish clear processes and workflows for financial administration.
• Review existing finance procedures and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Provide financial updates and reports to management on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in finance, accounting, or a similar financial management role.
• Strong understanding of financial operations, bookkeeping, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and other financial management tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English is preferred.
• Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin is a big plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Finance Supervisor, Senior Finance, Accounting Supervisor, or similar role.
• Experience supervising finance or accounting-related operations.
• Familiarity with Indonesian accounting and tax practices.
• Experience working in a fast-paced or growing company environment.
• Strong ability to work independently and take ownership of financial operations.
