Job summary

PT Cekindo Business International seeks a capable Financial Accountant to join our Indonesia team in Semarang. You will handle recognition of purchases and payables, subsidiary accounting, and month-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

The role requires at least three years of related experience, a bachelor degree in accounting or finance, and English language proficiency. Tax experience is a plus as you will liaise with auditors and support audit schedules.

Qualifications

• Taxation experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Recognize purchases and payable activities with document matching.
• Manage subsidiary accounting and month-end close reporting.
• Analyze expenses and identify cost-cutting opportunities.
• Monitor construction costs and contractor payments.
• Monitor operational cash flow.
• Prepare and issue cheques.
• Prepare importation/export documentation and payments.
• Year-end closing and audit schedules.
• Liaise with auditors on confirmations.

This role involves financial accounting and reporting responsibilities, including recognition of purchases and payable activities, subsidiary financial accounting, and month-end close procedures.

Key responsibilities

Recognize all purchases and payable activities, with appropriate matching of documents and update to the system

Manage subsidiary financial accounting and ensure timely and accurate reporting on month-end close, including review of accounts payables and related ledgers

Perform analysis on expenses and recommend improvement in cost cutting measures

Monitor costs for construction and payments to contractors

Monitor operational cash flow

Prepare and generate cheques

Prepare and arrange documentation for importation of raw material, shipping charges and payment to overseas accounts

Prepare and arrange documentation for exportation of products and instruct receipts to payees

Prepare for year-end closing activities including financial statements and audit schedules

Liaise with company auditor pertaining to sending confirmations and inter-company confirmations

About you

3 years experience in related fields

Able to speak and write in English
