Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP/AR and GL management.
• Prepare and review financial statements with accuracy and compliance.

About the role

We are seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager to join our team in Batam Kota, Riau Islands. This is a contract position that plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions of the organisation. The Finance and Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business decision-making. This position is integral to maintaining accurate financial reporting and optimising the company's financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Manage budgeting processes and provide financial forecasts and analysis to support strategic planning
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring team efficiency and professional development
• Monitor cash flow and working capital to optimise liquidity and financial health
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and audit standards
• Conduct internal audits and implement control procedures to safeguard company assets
• Liaise with external auditors and financial institutions on matters requiring reconciliation and verification
• Prepare management reports and provide insights on financial performance and key metrics
• Implement and maintain effective accounting systems and processes to improve operational efficiency

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and local Indonesian tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing accounting teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Indonesian
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification is preferred
• Experience with audit processes and internal control frameworks is advantageous
