Job summary

FOOM Lab Global in Jakarta seeks a Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and AP processing. The role involves preparing financial records, ensuring policy compliance, and assisting in tax administration.

You will collaborate with internal teams, participate in audits, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced startup environment. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and strong academic record.
• Fresh graduates or up to 1 year of experience.
• CPA/CA or Brevet A & B is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel; hands-on experience with accounting software is an advantage.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily accounting operations (journal entries, reconciliations) and support month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Manage the Accounts Payable process, verify vendor invoices, process payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Assist in tax administration, reporting, and filing processes including withholding taxes related to AP.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure data accuracy and participate in audits as required.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within Finance & Accounting.

Key responsibilities

Assist in daily accounting operations (journal entries, reconciliations) and support month-end/year-end closing activities

Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) process, including verifying vendor invoices, processing timely payments, and resolving payment discrepancies

Prepare accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations

Assist in tax administration, reporting, and filing processes (including withholding taxes related to AP)

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure data accuracy, and participate in audits as required

Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the overall Finance & Accounting function

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience

Strong academic record

Professional certifications (or ongoing) such as CPA, CA, or Brevet A & B are a plus

Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the standard procure-to-pay/AP process

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; hands-on experience with accounting software is an advantage

Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail with steadfast integrity

Eager to learn, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
