Job summary

Jago Coffee is establishing a dedicated Accounts Payable function in Jakarta, carving it out from the current combined AP/accounting setup into a standalone team. You'll own the full AP cycle end to end and shape how it scales as the depot network and volumes grow rapidly.

This is a builder’s role: design AP processes and controls, explore AI and automation to lift the team, and lead a small team of 1–3 junior staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Accounts Payable or related finance roles.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.
• Strong command of the end-to-end payables cycle and AP controls.
• Working knowledge of Indonesian tax compliance on payables (e.g. PPh 23, PPN).
• Exposure to AI/automation or finance process/system improvement is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete AP cycle end to end and shape how it scales as the depot network and volumes grow.
• Monitor cash balances, cash flow and banking transactions.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding payment needs, budgeting, and finance administration.
• Support tax-related processes, including tax checking, reconciliation, and routine tax reporting.
• Design AP processes, controls, and workflows built on best practice.
• Explore and implement AI and automation to streamline AP and lift the whole team’s impact.
• Establish clear hand-offs between AP and Accounting.
• Lead and develop a small team (1-3 junior staff).
• Build an AP function that scales with rapid depot and revenue growth.

About Jago Coffee

Jago Coffee is a fast-growing FMCG coffee business, delivering quality coffee across Jakarta through a network of e-bikes serving one central HQ and a growing network of depots. As we scale, we're investing in building a strong, modern finance function from the ground up.

The Role

We're establishing a dedicated Accounts Payable function - carving it out from our current combined AP/accounting setup into a standalone team. We're looking for someone to lead and build that function, not simply run a desk. You'll own the full AP cycle end to end and shape how it scales as our depot network and volumes grow rapidly. This is a rare chance to put your fingerprints on something from day one.

What You'll Own

• The complete AP cycle: goods receipt, invoice matching, payment processing, posting
• Monitor cash balances, cash flow and banking transactions
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding payment needs, budgeting, and finance administration
• Support the company's tax-related processes, including tax checking, reconciliation, and routine tax reporting - bringing this in-house from our current external arrangement (advisory support retained)
• Designing AP processes, controls, and workflows built on best practice
• Exploring and implementing AI and automation to streamline AP and lift the whole team's impact
• Establishing clean separation and clear hand-offs between AP and Accounting
• Leading and developing a small team (1-3 junior staff)
• Building an AP function that scales with rapid depot and revenue growth

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in Accounts Payable or related finance roles, including 2+ years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity
• Strong command of the end-to-end payables cycle and AP controls
• Working knowledge of Indonesian tax compliance on payables (e.g. PPh 23, PPN)
• Experience in FMCG, e-commerce, logistics, or another high-volume / multi-location environment is a strong plus
• Exposure to AI, automation, or finance process/system improvement is highly preferred - share what you've built or experimented with
• A builder's mindset - energized by creating process where little exists, and thinking about scale
• Background starting in Big Four tax/audit is welcome but not required
