Job summary

Maju Operations and Development is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This contract role will lead the finance function, oversee accounting processes, ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of relevant experience, strong IFRS/Indonesian standards knowledge, ERP proficiency, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience with 2–3 years in supervision or management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the accounting team, including recruitment, training and performance management.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements: balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Direct month-end and year-end closing processes for timely and accurate records.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and controls.
• Ensure tax compliance and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
• Develop and manage the accounting budget and monitor expenses.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and documentation.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join Maju Operations and Development in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This is a contract position that offers a strategic opportunity to lead and manage the financial operations of our organisation. As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and the delivery of timely financial reporting to support business decision-making. This role is pivotal to maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting its operational and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the accounting team, including recruitment, training, performance management and professional development
• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
• Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
• Direct month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial record-keeping
• Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and stakeholders
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment controls
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations and work with external auditors during audit processes
• Develop and manage the accounting budget and monitor departmental expenses
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency within the accounting function
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure proper documentation

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and financial reporting requirements
• Proficiency with accounting software and systems, including experience with ERP platforms
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools;
• Excellent understanding of bookkeeping, general ledger management and reconciliation procedures
• Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in a similar operational or development environment is preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
