Job summary

Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology in Papua Province, Indonesia, seeks a highly experienced Technical Advisor to support underground drill and bolter equipment. You will drive reliability and availability of the fleet while promoting zero-harm safety.

The role requires trade qualifications in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics, 7+ years on Sandvik UG equipment, strong customer service, and the ability to mentor local teams; roster 8:3 or 6:3; site and travel allowances.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified or equivalent in mechanical, electrical and hydraulics.
• 7+ years maintaining Sandvik underground drill and bolting equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to build long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on a fleet of Sandvik underground drills and bolters (Jumbo’s, Solo’s, Commando, Cable bolters, etc.).
• Organize and provide feedback on reliability issues related to the fleet.
• Assist Service Personnel on technical issues and spare parts concerns.
• Mentor and upskill local workforce in best-practice service and maintenance with safety focus.
• Collaborate with General Manager and Technical Support Manager on EHS initiatives and training needs.
• Drive adoption of new technology and improve processes through digitalization.
