Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla is seeking a customer-focused waiter/server to join the team. Greet guests with warmth, take orders, and provide menu recommendations to enhance the dining experience.

You will deliver beverages and meals, communicate dietary needs to kitchen/bar, and maintain a clean, organized dining area while supporting colleagues across departments. Flexibility for varied shifts is expected.

Formación

• Proven experience in waiter/server or similar food service role preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.

Responsabilidades

• Greet guests warmly, seat them promptly, and provide menus with recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, relay dietary requests to kitchen and bar.
• Deliver orders efficiently, monitor table needs, and proactively assist.
• Demonstrate menu knowledge including ingredients, prep methods, and pairings.
• Clear and reset tables to service standards, keep dining area clean.
• Process payments using POS, handling cash and cards with integrity.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and housekeeping to ensure smooth service.
• Anticipate guest needs, address concerns with empathy, find solutions.

Job Description

• Greet guests with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, seating them promptly and providing menus with detailed recommendations
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests and dietary requirements are clearly communicated to the kitchen and bar teams
• Deliver orders efficiently and professionally, maintaining awareness of table needs and proactively offering assistance
• Demonstrate comprehensive menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine or beverage pairings, to enhance the guest experience
• Clear tables promptly and reset them to our service standards, maintaining an organized and clean dining area at all times
• Process payments accurately using our point-of-sale system, handling cash and card transactions with integrity and attention to detail
• Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen, bar, and housekeeping staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery
• Anticipate guest needs before they're expressed, addressing concerns with empathy and finding creative solutions to any issues that arise

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a waiter, server, or similar food service role in a professional dining environment (preferred)
• Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and creating positive guest interactions
• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tables and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace culture
• Capability to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and carry items safely throughout your shift
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
