Job summary

OrbusNeich Medical Company Limited is seeking a Facilities and Equipment Engineer in Bekasi, West Java. This full-time role ensures manufacturing facilities and medical devices operate safely and efficiently, with responsibility for upkeep of equipment and facility infrastructure.

You will support regulatory compliance, implement maintenance protocols, and collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in facilities management or equipment maintenance in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical systems and industrial equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, oversee and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Inspect facilities, machinery and equipment for safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop maintenance protocols and SOPs to optimise performance and longevity.
  • Manage equipment calibration, testing and validation for regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate repairs with internal teams or external contractors.

About the role

OrbusNeich Medical Company Limited is seeking a Facilities and Equipment Engineer to join our team in Bekasi, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing facilities and medical equipment operate at peak efficiency and safety standards. As a Facilities and Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimisation of our industrial equipment and facility infrastructure, directly contributing to our ability to deliver high-quality medical devices to patients worldwide. This role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and supporting our operational excellence objectives.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan, oversee and execute preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for all manufacturing equipment and facility systems
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Develop and implement maintenance protocols and standard operating procedures to optimise equipment performance and longevity
  • Manage equipment calibration, testing and validation activities to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with internal teams or external contractors
  • Monitor utility systems including HVAC, electrical, water and compressed air to ensure reliable operation
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs and equipment performance metrics
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimise downtime and support manufacturing schedules
  • Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or facility improvements to enhance efficiency and safety
  • Ensure all facility operations comply with environmental, health and safety regulations and company policies
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, equipment maintenance or a similar engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or medical device environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical systems and industrial equipment operation
  • Proficiency in maintenance management systems and computerised maintenance management software (CMMS)
  • Sound understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, particularly those relevant to medical device manufacturing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Proficiency in technical documentation and record-keeping
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles is highly desirable
