Job summary

PT Sefong Industries Batam is seeking an experienced Production Superintendent to lead and oversee our Batam facility's manufacturing operations. This full-time expat role focuses on optimizing efficiency, safety, and compliance while maintaining high productivity across production lines.

The role requires 5–7 years in production supervision, a track record of driving operational improvements, and strong skills in lean manufacturing and quality controls.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in production supervision or similar leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing production teams and driving efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control and lean methods.
• Excellent health, safety and environmental compliance knowledge for manufacturing.
• Ability to analyse production data, identify trends and drive improvements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing activities.
• Supervise and manage production staff, providing guidance, training and performance feedback.
• Monitor production schedules and coordinate with departments to meet delivery deadlines and quality targets.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental compliance procedures on the production floor.
• Inspect equipment and lines to identify maintenance needs and prevent breakdowns.
• Track production metrics, analyse data and prepare reports for senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
• Manage inventory levels and raw materials to optimize stock and reduce waste.
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Liaise between production teams and other departments for seamless operations.
