Job summary

Synergy Marine Group is seeking a recruitment professional to source and recruit qualified deck and engine officers across vessel types. You will manage end-to-end recruitment activities, from sourcing and shortlisting to interview scheduling and records maintenance in the recruitment system.

The role emphasizes increasing direct hires and meeting recruitment targets in alignment with Ship Management objectives, with a focus on timely, compliant hiring processes and accurate data management.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of marine recruitment, especially Deck & Engine officer sourcing.
• Experience using crew management software (preferably Shippalm).
• Graduate in any discipline with 2–5 years of marine crew recruitment experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively source suitable seafarer profiles (Deck and Engine Officers) for all types of vessels.
• Arrange and coordinate interviews for shortlisted candidates.
• Create initial Crew IDs for shortlisted seafarers.
• Manage selection and assessment process, including reference checks and interview feedback.

TargetAchievement:

• Increasethe number of direct hires to meet monthly and quarterly recruitmenttargets, especially in line with Ship Management requirements.

Database& System Management:

• Ensureall seafarer records are accurately maintained and regularly updated inthe Shippalm Recruitment Module.
• Keepdetailed notes and updated assessments for all seafarer profiles.

Assessment& Verification:

• Managethe selection and assessment process, including reference checks andinterview feedback.
• Ensurethe recruitment module captures all applications and reflects the currentstatus of each candidate

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strongunderstanding of marine recruitment, especially Deck & Engine officer sourcing
• Familiaritywith crew management software (preferably Shippalm)
• Excellentcommunication and coordination skills
• Detail-orientedwith strong organizational ability
• Abilityto work independently and meet strict deadlines

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduatein any discipline (preferred: Maritime/HR background)
• 2–5years of relevant experience in marine crew recruitment

Experience in sourcing for bulk carriers,tankers, container ships, etc., is an advantage
