Job summary

Faspay is seeking an experienced Merchant Acquisition Manager in Jakarta to lead end-to-end sales for large enterprise merchants across multiple industries. You will prospect, negotiate, and close strategic deals while building executive relationships and navigating complex organisations.

You will collaborate with product, marketing, and integrations teams to tailor solutions and ensure smooth post-signing handovers, with a willingness to travel outside Jakarta as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum 7+ years in B2B enterprise sales or merchant acquisition with track record of closing large complex deals in payments/fintech/SaaS.
• Deep understanding of Indonesian payments landscape and networks in at least two verticals: fintech, financial services, transportation, education or tourism.
• Strong knowledge of payment gateway products and Indonesian payment methods (QRIS, VA, e-wallets, cards); credible API integration discussions with merchant tech teams.
• Based in Jakarta with hybrid work arrangement; able to travel for meetings outside Jakarta if needed.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Strategy: Build and execute a target pipeline across top industries by prioritising large merchants with significant payment volume.
• Deal Origination: Prospect, network with executives, and create opportunities without relying on inbound leads.
• Commercial Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations on pricing, terms, SLAs, and contract structure for profitable deals.
• Stakeholder Navigation: Engage finance, product, technology and operations to drive consensus and close.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product, marketing, integration, and account management to scope solutions and ensure smooth handover.
• Executive Engagement: Build trusted relationships with C-levels to position the company as a strategic payments partner.
• Portfolio Diversification: Acquire new large merchants to diversify the merchant base below 40% of total volume.
