The role blends technical depth with people leadership, mentoring engineers and aligning tech with business goals. Ideal candidates have 7–12 years in software, proven leadership, and a track record delivering large-scale systems in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of software engineering experience
• Strong background in system architecture and distributed systems
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure
• Hands-on in performance optimization and debugging
• Proven track record leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural direction across backend, mobile, and frontend systems for scalability and reliability
• Define and own system design patterns, integration architecture, and platform evolution
• Review designs for new features and infrastructure upgrades
• Drive technical decisions across squads and ensure business alignment
• Lead modernization initiatives including DDD and cloud-native architecture
• Oversee end-to-end delivery with high quality and timely execution
• Provide hands-on support for debugging, reviews, and incident resolution
• Enforce engineering best practices like CI/CD, observability, and testing
• Implement reliability practices (monitoring, scaling, fault tolerance)
• Mentor and grow a team of engineers, managing performance and career development
• Collaborate with Product to plan roadmaps and align tech with business goals
• Build hiring processes and support recruitment for engineering roles
• Partner with Product, Ops, Data, and Business teams
• Collaborate with DevOps and SRE to ensure robust infra
• Drive cross-team architectural alignment and reduce tech debt
• Ensure security, compliance, and data protection throughout development
• Establish quality metrics, code reviews, and governance guidelines
