Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering and maintenance within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance professional to join the team at Belalu Bali Boutique & SPA experience. This is a full-time position based in Ubud, Bali, where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all engineering systems and facilities across our luxury boutique resort and spa. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of comfort, safety and functionality that our guests expect from a premium hospitality establishment.

Key responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently

Manage and oversee facility repairs, including HVAC systems, water systems, generators and pool equipment

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs and equipment servicing

Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify root causes of equipment failures

Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialist repairs and maintenance when required

Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and resort standards

Train and supervise junior maintenance staff as needed

Conduct daily safety checks and report any hazards or compliance issues

Manage spare parts inventory and equipment stock levels

What we're looking for

Proven experience in engineering and maintenance within the hospitality industry, preferably in a boutique or luxury resort setting

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and building infrastructure

Relevant qualifications or certifications in engineering, mechanical maintenance or facilities management

Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints and maintenance manuals

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound judgements

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards

Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

Valid driver's licence and willingness to be available for emergency maintenance calls

Experience with hospitality management software is advantageous

Fluency in English is essential; Indonesian language skills are highly desirable
