Job summary

Vanara Resort & Spa seeks a hands-on Engineering & Facilities Manager to own the resort's technical condition across villas, public areas and infrastructure. You will supervise MEP systems, coordinate external specialists, and lead the maintenance team to prevent issues and deliver reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the technical condition of all villas, public areas, back-of-house facilities and resort infrastructure.
• Manage all MEP systems including electrical systems, plumbing, pumps, water supply, hot water, air conditioning, ventilation, drainage and wastewater systems.
• Organize preventive maintenance schedules and ensure that maintenance is performed before problems occur.
• Inspect villas and public areas regularly and identify defects, deterioration or potential failures.
• Manage and close outstanding construction and finishing defects in villas and common areas.
• Coordinate contractors, builders, electricians, plumbers, AC technicians and other external specialists.
• Monitor and manage the resort's internet and Wi‑Fi infrastructure, routers, access points and network coverage.
• Recruit, train and manage the resort's engineering/maintenance team.
• Control engineering and maintenance budgets.
• Respond quickly to emergency technical problems and organize emergency repairs.

Job description

Vanara Resort & Spa is looking for a strong, hands-on Engineering & Facilities Manager who will take full responsibility for the technical condition, maintenance and continuous improvement of the entire property. This is not only a maintenance position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the resort's engineering systems, villas, public areas, internet infrastructure, landscape facilities and outstanding construction/finishing works.

Key responsibilities

Full responsibility for the technical condition of all villas, public areas, back-of-house facilities and resort infrastructure.

Manage all MEP systems including electrical systems, plumbing, pumps, water supply, hot water, air conditioning, ventilation, drainage and wastewater systems.

Organize preventive maintenance schedules and ensure that maintenance is performed before problems occur.

Inspect villas and public areas regularly and identify defects, deterioration or potential failures.

Manage and close outstanding construction and finishing defects in villas and common areas.

Coordinate contractors, builders, electricians, plumbers, AC technicians and other external specialists.

Monitor and manage the resort's internet and Wi‑Fi infrastructure, routers, access points and network coverage.

Recruit, train and manage the resort's engineering/maintenance team.

Control engineering and maintenance budgets.

Respond quickly to emergency technical problems and organize emergency repairs.

About you

Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, MEP or property management, preferably within hotels, resorts, villas or hospitality properties.

At least 2 years in a supervisory or management position.

Strong practical knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, pumps, AC/HVAC and general building maintenance.

Ability to understand drawings, specifications and contractor quotations.

Experience managing construction defects, renovation, fit-out or property handover is highly desirable.

Basic understanding of Wi‑Fi networks, routers, access points, CCTV and low‑voltage systems.

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to personally inspect and diagnose technical problems.

Experience managing technicians and external contractors.

Working English and fluent Bahasa Indonesia.

Engineering education in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field is preferred, but strong practical experience is equally important.
